Abstract:
o-Benzenedisulfonimide, a new strong bench-stable Brønsted acid, has been used to efficiently
catalyze the Mukaiyama aldol reaction of aldehydes or their dimethyl acetals with silyl enol ethers under
mild solvent-free reaction conditions.
