Babylon's Urban Layout and Territory from Above

The research methods, such as the remote sensing applied to archaeological research, constitute, since a few years, a fundamental approach to get a scientific overview of the understanding of the territory and its resources. This approach is a helpful starting point for the future works on the field and to handle and valorise the cultural heritage. The Centro Scavi di Torino has undertaken a research on Babylon, looking basically at the collection of documents kept safe at the Italian-Iraqi Institutes for Archaeology of Baghdad.
