Abstract:
We present the features of the code RECOLA for the computation of NLO amplitudes for elementary processes in the full Standard Model. The code is based on recursive relations which improve the efficiency of the computation of the matrix elements, avoiding re-computation of subamplitudes. RECOLA has been used to calculate the electroweak corrections to the production of a Z boson in association with two jets at the LHC, including the leptonic decay of the Z boson. In the case of charged leptons the corrections turn out to be at the level of −3% for inclusive cross sections. For the decay into neutrinos the corrections are negligible, when standard cuts are applied, but grow to −10% for cuts inspired by ATLAS searches for new physics [1]. In the high-energy tails of distributions the corrections are in all channels of several tens of percent.
