Abstract:
This research explores the concept of innovative ecosystems, focusing on how emerging technologies, stakeholders, and their interactions can enhance museum experiences. Drawing on the Quadruple Helix innovation model, it emphasizes the role of governments, industries, academia, and civil society in fostering knowledge and innovation.
The research examines how technologies like AR, MR, IoT, and NFTs can transform museums, creating immersive and adaptive visitor experiences. Using an instrumental case study, the paper analyzes a project led by the University of Turin involving multiple stakeholders, funded by the Italian government, to revolutionize museum engagement.
The study aims to identify the drivers and technologies that foster collaboration and value creation in cultural industries, emphasizing the transfer of innovation and knowledge management. The expected outcomes highlight the ecosystem’s role in sustaining cultural and creative industries, with a focus on leveraging technology for broader societal benefits.
