Writing Personal Names in Anatolian Hieroglyphic around the Time of King Tuthaliya I

This essays examines some Hittite seals that date around the time of the reign of King Tuthaliya I. The adoption of the Hieroglyphic by offcials of the kingdom active at this t ime may explain Tutyhaliya I's choice to commission seals with his name written not only in cuneiform, but also in Hieroglyphic.
