Progetto The module Communicating Europe (CoEuR) will consider the role of communication in the process of European integration as a crucial point for the growth of European Public Sphere. From an intitutional, social and political point of view, the course objective will be to focus on the role of the public and political communication in the European identity building process. The Module will improve relations among Eu Institutions and Local dimentions. CoEuR will be a pivotal point for the Department of Culture, Politics and Society (CPS) of the University of Turin (UNITO), enhancing the educational choice available to students while at the same time adding an original research and teaching perspective. Because of its multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral nature, CoEuR will present an innovative opportunity and will be aimed at students from other disciplines as well as those in the CPS. In addition to research and instruction, CoEuR will have as its aim to encourage public debate on the relationship between communication and the EU, broadening the pool of participants and involving a greater number of collaborators, including European researchers, experts, institutions (multilevel), and other communication experiences in University activities. CoEuR will be structured in a series of 1) Teaching Courses designed for CPS students; 2) Multi-Disciplinary Intensive courses; 3) a general conference and several roundtables, oriented toward the production of research, teaching and dissemination materials. CoEuR will also aim to create a network of diverse academic and professional expertise on these issues in order to favour systematic reflection, among university, institutions and professional skills. Togheters with academic experts CoEuR activities will stimulate interaction with public communication sectors, professional communication strategists , and information operators involved in the dissemination results, in strict collaboration with media systems.
