Entrepreneurial Summer School - cod. 20115 - EITFOOD Education BP2020

Challenges in today’s Food System are complex and interconnected – to address them, innova ve solu ons along the en re value chain are required. This entrepreneurial Summer/ Winter School aims to educate students and young professionals from different backgrounds to bring novel perspec ves into the discussion. The focus lies on the challenge of making food supply chains more transparent to ensure accountability along the value chain and increase consumer trust in food products. Guided by experts from academia and industry, par cipants will get detailed insight into current trends and challenges along the food value chain and iden fy Export to PDF Back to List Education 1.7 Studio programmes current market needs. Split into interdisciplinary teams they learn methodological skills in idea on, business crea on, and product development, enabling them to develop business concepts and prototype consumer-centric solu ons. The final prototypes are presented in a pitch event and synopses are published on the website of the consor a partners and social media channels. Successful par cipa on will further strengthen students’ ability to think out of the box, self-organize cross-func onal teams and effec vely communicate across different disciplines. Students will be able to make informed decisions about their future career as either an entrepreneur, researcher or intrapreneur in the food industry. Promising MVPs will have the chance to get support in the EIT Food Accelerator Network FAN.
