Workshop di confronto su impatto del COVID sui sistemi agroalimentari e presentazione risultati delle nostre ricerche sulle strategie di circolarità in ambito urbano.
Narrativa in inglese: The COVID-19 pandemic brought many issues to different sectors, including the global food industries. Closing the borders during lockdowns and slowing down the international trade have made a big impact on national food manufacturing capabilities, raising the problem of food self-sufficiency. Technological development, decentralisation and new food production methods are observed as necessary factors in creating a shift to making our industry more circular and minimise negative impact on the environment. Even though it is unclear where the current pandemic will take our food industry, we already notice examples showing how this pandemic can give rise to innovation and help drive resilience in the food system, very much needed for Switzerland.
