21703 TASK 2114 SOOC WP4.2 NEB Education

Progetto
Following the New European Ba uhaus announced by President VDL in January 2021, this WP aims at bridging the gap between science and technology on the one hand, and arts and culture on the other. All under the scope of sustainability, business promotion through start-ups, and citizen education and social engagement. With that purpose, this WP (I) engages with European innovators to overcome fragmentations in the european innovation landscape, (ii) works together with universities in the identification of NEB problems and solutions, and (iii) ensures civil society engagement in the NEB movement. To achieve this mission, this WP capitalizes on the participating KICs’ already existing business creation, educational , and public engagement activities, such as the accelerators, hackathons, incubators, co-crea􀆟on sessions, living labs. More in par􀆟cular: Acceleration programmes: support NEB-related entrepreneurs and innovators to develop n ew and explore existing ideas to further NEB goals, advance entrepreneurial activities in the marketplace related to iden􀆟fied topic areas, draw insights and lessons from those activities, and create pathways to replicate and scale positive contributions. Hackathons, in cubators, co-creation sessions, living labs: provide NEB-related entrepreneurs, innovators and students with education resources and access to practitioner capabilities on entrepreneurship, and thereby spreading the NEB principles and embedding them into the curricula of the KICs’ partners. Citizen engagement activities: mobilise citizen-driven initiatives and ideas all across-Europe building on the EIT’s ecosystem as Europe’s largest innovation community.
