The project aims at creating an international interdisciplinary network of specialists in study and preservation of precious stucco decorations which are irreversibly damaged by inexpert restoration all over Europe. Partners will transfer the shared innovative know-how into practice and university lecturing in order to train a new generation of specialists educated in an interdisciplinary way who will get over the current field isolation and will preserve the common European cultural heritage.
Partners from four countries (CZ, CH, PL, IT), specialising in stuccos, will perform a wide range of scholarly, teaching and dissemination activities to share the new and innovative research findings on materials, techniques and proper restoration work on stucco decorations. They will transfer this knowledge into university lecturing, among specialists in practice (restorers and heritage protection institutions staff) and general public (of various ages, education levels and interests).
The project will contribute towards common values, civic engagement and participation in the field of European cultural heritage. The target groups’ skills will be improved. There will be scholarly output (articles, book chapters), four international workshops and a conference, lectures and innovative teaching materials in digital form shared not only by the project partners. For dissemination purposes, there will be an on-site and/or on-line exhibition and a digital map, to name a few.
