Abstract:
This paper presents the results of a study investigating the efcacy of data acquisition protocols
for the digital documentation of endangered archaeological contexts. The objective is to assess the viability of data acquisition procedures using diferent types of instruments and equipment. The study has focused on three key areas: operational time, costs and assessment of the collected data. The case study is an under ground vaulted tomb that was fortuitously found during military operations at Seleucia on the Tigris (central Iraq).
