Progetto The GRIS project aims at investigating highly relevant open questions about how smaller firms and their entrepreneurs cope with repeated and unexpected external threats to business continuity, and how they develop resilience, by adopting a multi-level and interdisciplinary lens on resilience (Conz & Magnani, 2020). he aim is contributing theoretically to the entrepreneurship, international entrepreneurship and management literature of managing businesses under Knightian uncertainty. The project responds to the call of the European Commission within the NextGenerationEU recovery instrument, devoted to “repair the economic and social damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic and aid the transition towards a modern and more sustainable Europe” (European Commission, 2022 ).
